I think once you have air in the system it can be a real bugger to get out. Ended up press-ganging the wife into helping, which she hasn't had to do since I got a pressure bleeder and she isn't keen on, is it just me, am I a complete numpty any advice/comments would be welcome. I should also mention the stress, especially with the pressure bleeder connected you are under the car, back up to top up the res, inside to check the laptop, I would have been less stressed at work and that's saying something.
I am sure I didn't do it correctly as I never got to the end where I believe it tells you you have been sucessful. The amount of fluid I used was horrendous, to the point where I nearly ran the reservoir dry again, which was how the problem arose in the first place, I thinl because I used the pressure bleeder in the beginning and probably shouldn't have. Well as you can guess I didn't manage to follow it exactly and by the end I was almost out of fluid and had to stop but the brakes are better so i am hoping any air is out of there. Also the prompts kind of wrap over from screen to screen so it's hard to work out what you have done and haven't and when to press "next" as at times it seems to jump on by it's self anyway.

The procedure i copied of wasn't as comprehensive as I thought and the stuff from the Vag-com site just really told you how to connect to it and then said to follow the on-screen prompts, so here are my questions Īre you supposed to do this with a pressure bleed kit or without, tried both and without seemed the best? Vag-com takes you (allegedly) through a process of priming the ABS, you loosen the nipples, it runs the pump for 10 seconds, then you have to pump the brake 10 times, tighten the nipples and then apparently do this whole procedure 6 times.

Now the ideal way to do this would be to read all the stuff beforehand then do the job but no I am out there trying to read the stuff free off siezed nipples etc all at the one time. Yesterday suddenly got time and also need garage space so I thought i would have a go.
Usual stuff, car's been in the garage jacked up for about a week, no time. Just to update, I had a go at the Vag-com brake bleeding but had some problems, maybe someone can advise.
